God Has a Message for Us

This Saturday morning when I woke up, I prayed and talked to God, and then afterwards, I entered a moment of reflection.

I thought about this past Sunday (3.31.24), which was Resurrection Sunday, and then I thought about the earthquake that happened yesterday, 4.5.24, which I (and countless others) experienced. Then my mind shifted to the upcoming Solar Eclipse, which is to take place on Monday, 4.8.24, where the sky will get dark during the daylight hours, for a short period.

God brought all these things to my mind, beginning yesterday, but they are heavy on my spirit this morning. For this reason, I decided that I am going to stay in prayer most of the day because I am certain that God has a message concerning all of this, even if the message is just for me personally; meaning, a message that He does not want me to share with anyone else. There are some things that God reveals to us are just meant for us.

In terms of earthquakes/the earthquake, let me note that an earthquake happened when Jesus was crucified/when He died.

Mathew 27:51 reads:

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split…

_____________

Regarding the upcoming Solar Eclipse, allow me to note that the blotting out of the sun during the day for a period of time (AKA - an Eclipse) happened while Jesus hung on the cross/when He was crucified.

Mark 15:33-34 reads:

At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “MY God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).

______________

Let us look at what God says in Amos 8:9 (NIV) about darkness covering the earth during daytime hours:

In that day, declares the Sovereign Lord [God],

I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.

______________

So, we know that earthquakes and eclipses are God’s work. They are God’s doing, and both happened when Jesus was crucified/when He died, and Christians, like me, just celebrated Jesus’ resurrection just last Sunday.

All I know is that none of this (the recent earthquake and the upcoming Eclipse, just 3 days after the earthquake happened) is a coincidence. It’s not. God has a message, and I am going to get it.

Once I received the message from God, which I believe goes beyond the message of repentance (advising people to repent and give their lives to Jesus…), I will share it only if God instructs me to do so.

You can also pray and ask God for revelation and then open your mind, heart, and spirit to receive what He has for you. And then be sure to be obedient to whatever instructions He gives you.

Be encouraged! God loves you.

Love and Peace,
